“Step into a world that does not always understand people’s differences”
Embrace casts 5 artists from InsideOutside Dance, International Model and dancer Madeline Stuart, five-time Australian and one time world champion dancer Denzel, Kala, Anthony and Jess. All students have varying disabilities including, ASD, Turner syndrome, intellectual disability, Down syndrome or are legally blind.
The production follows the journey of these 6 individuals as they navigate the difficult challenges that people with disabilities are faced with in the real world. You will be laughing, crying, uplifted, and motivated for change by the end of the show!
Relive your youth as you follow their journey through high school and graduation, only to fall into an understanding of loneliness and isolation. Celebrate a spark of hope that is only a small step of courage away and embrace the glistening lights of what the future has to hold. The hilarious and thought-provoking script has been paired with outstanding choreography from choreographers Nicholas Maguire and Shane Dechavez.

Madeline Stuart
AMBASSADOR, OWNER & PERFORMER
InsideOutside’s Ambassador and Owner is Australian International model with Down syndrome, Madeline Stuart. Madeline has not only taken the world by storm in fashion, beauty and advocating for diversity and inclusion, she has also been recognised for her talents as a dancer, and made her London stage debut in 2017.

Shane Dechavez
CHOREOGRAPHER
Shane started dancing at the age of 5 learning mainstream commercial pop style dance inspired by Michael Jackson and Backstreet Boys – as most young kids in the 90’s.
Shane started formal training at age 16 in Street Styles (Hip-Hop), Jazz, Contemporary & Ballet and in 2010 achieved Intermediate Certificate (Distinction) in RAD Ballet. Shane is also skilled in Aerial Silks and is a Blackbelt in Taekwondo….so best not to mess with him!

Nicholas Maguire
CHOREOGRAPHER
At age 4, Nicholas began his journey towards a professional career in dance. Passionate about Contemporary & Lyrical Dance his impressive work ethic and athletic skills have seen him develop into a powerful Artist. After many years of honing his skills in various genres he was accepted into the prestigious Victorian College of the Arts secondary School (VCASS) in Melbourne where he studied 2010-2012. At age 17 he was awarded 1st place at the Australian Choreographic Competition for a contemporary work he developed and choreographed on 3 peers.

The company started 7 years ago, our touring started 15 months ago, since we started, we have done Brisbane Fringe, Wynnum Fringe, sold out shows at Darwin Fringe, Adelaide Fringe 2023, sold out shows at Queensland Theatre and Melbourne Fringe festival. We have just returned from the New Zealand Fringe festival, our first international show.
