FRINGE FEED - What the public are saying
Kay is funny, engaging, a very good singer and has a great set of songs. If you're looking for a cabaret/theatre/storytelling sort of thing, Dear Dairy would be a great choice. It's a thoroughly entertaining.
Ahhh a trip down memory lane. I can relate so much to this as if it was my own diary and teenage years! The secrets, the desires, the disappointments, the boys, the girlfriends, all scribbled in notes to my self.
Hidden Gem
A soundtrack for what we were, what we are and what we will be, journey into Kay’s teenage diaries through a collection of intimate and vulnerable stories & songs. From first kisses, girl power, spice world, and fan fiction to lost gigs, found memories and frayed friendships. This show is a hilarious, nostalgic and sometimes painful revisiting of our former selves, delving into the pressures and expectations of growing up. With wry humour and confessional stories, 'Dear Diary' asks us to look at what we hold onto and when it’s the right time to let them go, if ever.
ADELAIDE FRINGE2025 REVIEWS
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“This is a brilliant piece of theatre - story and song telling about things remembered and forgotten, about growing and dreaming, about hurt and hope, this one strides to the top of shows about opening up "your" teenage journals.” - Chuck Moore - Chuck Moore Reviews About
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2 “You cannot help but like Kay. She is a brilliant storyteller whose dry, witty humour pulls the audience along on her journey. Dear Diary is a light-hearted Fringe show that is well worth checking out. The message is powerful, the storytelling is excellent, but more than anything, it is presented by an exceptional artist that I, for one, am very keen to see more of.” - Ben Stefanoff - Glam Adelaide
