For the 2022 Adelaide Fringe, Holden Street Theatres will be holding a new initiative in the rooms at 32 Holden Street, HST ON-SCREEN.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic theatre touring has been brought to a halt. With the cancellation of the Edinburgh Fringe in 2020 it marked the first time since its inception in 2008 that we have been unable to award the Holden Street Theatres' Edinburgh Fringe Award and bring out a headlining International act for 2021. While international travel is unlikely to be on the cards in 2022, we have created an inventive way to bring excellent international theatre to our doors anyway! This year the winner of the Holden Street Theatres' Edingurgh Fringe Award 2021, will be professionally recorded and played in our new cinema lounge!

Boasting comfy seating, plenty of leg room, snacks and drinks available from the Bar and a big screen provided by Novatech, you'll be able to catch some of the best theatre from around the world in a cinema experience like no other. With multiple sessions a night you can see several shows in one evening, or even mix it up with a screening and a live show in one of our other venues.

HST ON-SCREEN will bring you the best international theatre in a cosy and unique setting!

Social distancing, density and hygiene practices will be adhered to at all times. Only attend the event if you are feeling well.
